Ah, well, much needed slippers and from
E.E. 'Doc' Smith's Classic 'Lensman' series,
the first book Triplanetary.
There are seven books in the series
and I first read them when I were a lad,
um, a teenager!

Well it was very nice to have a break for a few days
over the bank holiday I must say,
but it's back to Northampton normality now ;-)
